The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof waders available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Freestone Stockingfoot is a waterproof wader from Simms, the result of 16,000 hours of field testing. The wader is constructed with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabric. The boots are compression-molded for enhanced comfort and improved fit. Unlike the Freestone Z Stockingfoot model, this one does not have a front zipper. The chest area features 3 pockets: one central and two side pockets lined internally with microfleece to keep hands warm. For fastening, the wader has two adjustable suspenders and an elastic belt around the waist.
