Groundbaiting Sticks
Groundbaiting sticks, commonly known as "cobres," are tools that provide anglers with the means to launch boilies to a significant distance, much farther than could ever be achieved using a catapult or slingshot. Made from durable yet lightweight materials, groundbaiting sticks are essentially tubes with a specific diameter, into which the boilies are loaded and then propelled in a certain direction.
The inner diameter of the groundbaiting stick corresponds to the maximum size of the boilies that can be used with that stick. Some models are equipped with handles made from materials that provide a good grip during use.
The action of using a groundbaiting stick to launch baits is similar to making a cast. Individual baits are placed in the groundbaiting stick and then launched through a vigorous motion that must be stopped at a certain maximum point. Of course, mastering the technique of launching boilies with the help of groundbaiting sticks requires repetition and practice. If initially the boilies land too low or, on the contrary, follow a trajectory that is too high, with time and effort, very great distances and excellent accuracy can be achieved. A few tips that can help you master the proper technique include wetting the inside of the stick before casting as well as wetting the boilies you intend to launch. Using boilies that have the same consistency also aids in achieving a more compact baiting. Conversely, for extensive baiting, several boilies can be launched at once.
