Tripods

The tripod is a three-legged support or stand that provides greater versatility when positioning equipment on types of terrain where conventional bank sticks cannot be inserted. It is commonly used when fishing on hard ground, on concrete or rocky dams, as well as on sandy beaches by the sea or along the Danube.

Thanks to its adjustable height, a tripod allows the rod tip to be held in a more vertical position, helping to keep the line out of the water, which is especially useful when fishing in flowing waters. Tripods are most often fitted with a universal screw thread at the top. A separate category includes tripods used for weighing, which are equipped with a hook for attaching the scales.

Due to their stability, tripods are often used as a support solution for rods, top kits, or spare sections by competitive anglers. For this purpose, they can be fitted with multi-position support heads, allowing efficient organisation of equipment.

Tripods are made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant materials such as aluminium or stainless steel. Some models are already equipped with rod support systems or even buzz bars. For anglers who practise pole fishing, tripods can also be fitted with rollers for handling pole sections during fishing sessions.
