Crushing and Mixing Groundbait and Boilies

Mixers for groundbait : The groundbait mixer is a whisk-type accessory designed for mixing groundbait, fitted at one end with a threaded connector that can be mounted in a drill. Initially used only by competition anglers, groundbait mixers have become a popular accessory used by most anglers today. The main advantage of using a groundbait mixer is that preparing larger quantities of groundbait is much faster, because the whisk disperses water evenly with less effort. Also, using a mixer can reduce or even eliminate the need to sieve the groundbait, since it prevents lumps from forming and the mix is well aerated. The ease with which a significant amount of groundbait can be prepared in a short time is an advantage in terms of speed and convenience when mixing and preparing larger amounts for fishing sessions.

Ball presses : These are devices designed to help anglers make groundbait balls of consistent shape and size to enable precise baiting. The more symmetrical the balls, the greater the accuracy when they are launched with a catapult, sling, or by hand.

Devices for crushing boilies or pellets: As the name suggests, they are used to break boilies or pellets into smaller pieces. Crushed or broken baits can be excellent for creating a feeding/attraction area for several reasons. They are lighter and therefore less likely to bury themselves in a soft bottom, cover a larger area for the same amount of bait, release their attractants more easily, and can look more natural compared with a mass of whole, symmetrical baits scattered on the bottom. Also, crushed baits are less likely to overfeed fish and keep them interested in the spot for longer.
