The floats dedicated to fishing with bait for predatory fish such as pike, zander, or catfish will have a large body and buoyancy, being capable of keeping even the bait fish suspended.
Floats intended for surface fishing as well as buldo type floats can be transparent and can be ballasted with water, featuring special openings for this purpose. The ability to ballast them partially eliminates the need to use additional weights to cast the rig to the desired area. Fishing with buldo is a technique derived from fly fishing for trout, but it can also be used in stationary fishing for fishing for mullet at sea or carp in lakes. However, its main use remains in pike fishing, where the ability to empty or fill the float, as needed, allows us to adjust its buoyancy according to the bait, giving the bait fish much greater freedom of movement, which entices the predators to strike.
