Taparine
Taparine is an artificial lure made up of a series of artificial flies or other imitations of small marine creatures or simply hooks with various shiny attachments or feathers. Used in both saltwater and freshwater fishing, as well as in large rivers or the Danube, taparine is an effective lure when targeting fish such as shad, mackerel, perch, bleak, roach, pike, or asp.
Taparine mimics a school of small fish moving together in the water column. It can be fished at various water depths, from deep waters to the surface. For fishing with taparine, spinning gear, stationary gear, or even fly fishing equipment can be used. To fish with taparine on the water's surface, a floating element, either a so-called bulldog or a lure, should be attached to the lower end. For fishing in lower water layers, weights or sinkers will be used.
