Weights, Bait Baskets

Weights: One of the important, yet often overlooked, elements of a fishing setup is the weight. Attached to the fishing line, its role is to take the entire setup quickly into position and hold it there. This is essential in bottom fishing techniques, especially when targeting fish that feed on the lakebed or riverbed, as it keeps the setup properly in place and gives the angler the best chance of success. In float fishing, weights can also influence the descent of the hook and bait through the water, which in turn may affect how the presentation is perceived by the fish. The role of weights, therefore, is not limited to helping the setup reach the fishing area and sink faster, but in some cases also includes supporting self-hooking or providing information about the contours of the bottom, as in the case of probe weights.

Bait Baskets: Bait baskets are one of the simplest and most effective ways to introduce bait and particles into the area being fished. They are widely used by anglers because they generally offer a good capacity for carrying feed material, helping to attract fish closer to the hook and thereby increasing the chances of a catch.
