Weights, Bait Baskets
Weights: One of the important elements of setups, yet often overlooked, is the weight. Attached to the fishing line, the weight is intended to quickly fix the entire setup in the fishing position. This is essential for bottom fishing techniques, especially when targeting fish that feed on the substrate, as it properly secures the setup in place, giving us the best chances of catching. In float fishing techniques, weights can influence the hook's descent through the water, which can also affect the number of takes on the hook. Therefore, the role of weights is not only to facilitate the casting of the setup into the fishing area and to accelerate sinking, but in some cases, it also helps in self-hooking or provides information about the contours of the substrate, as is the case with probe weights.
Bait Baskets: One of the simplest and most effective ways to introduce bait and particles into the area where we are fishing, bait baskets are successfully used by many anglers. They generally have a large capacity to carry feed materials for fish, and consequently, they manage to attract fish close to the hook, thereby increasing the chances of catching them.
