Fluorocarbon Line

Fluorocarbon line is, essentially, a monofilament line. However, it is made from a specific material (polyvinylidene fluoride), so it has distinct properties, such as being denser than standard monofilament and having a refractive index close to that of light, which makes it nearly invisible in the water.

The main advantage of fluorocarbon comes precisely from this characteristic — that it is invisible underwater. Its strength is comparable to monofilament when considering equivalent diameters, but thanks to the specific bonds of its constituent elements it has low stretch, very good abrasion resistance, and generally a longer lifespan than classic monofilament lines.
