A bite indicator is a mechanical or electronic device that alerts an angler when something is happening at the end of the fishing line. It includes a wide range, from classic bobbers or bells to indicators used in ice fishing, from luminous isotopes like starlite to electronic indicators that can be mounted on the tip of the rod.

The indicators used in stationary fishing are specific to the type of fishing practiced, and thus can vary in shape, size, and colors. In addition to indicators, this category also includes holders for starlites or isotopes on rods. Starlites are used for night fishing, they are activated by “breaking,” and have a limited operating time.

There are also versions that combine multiple types of indicators, such as bobbers that can incorporate starlites. With the increasing number of anglers who prefer night sessions, ring bobbers with tubes for starlites have emerged. Attaching them to the line is very easy, they are lightweight, and they promptly indicate bites. Using starlites is very straightforward and is an advantage for night anglers or those who arrive too early at the water's edge. With these bobbers, anglers will not miss any bites, even at night.
