Lead clips, tail rubbers
Clips, cones
The lost weight clip is a plastic device that helps release the weight if it gets snagged or blocked during the fight. With this device, the weight is easily released from the rig, allowing the fish to be brought to shore without issues. Instead of the lost weight, another weight can be attached, making the rig restoration very quick. The lost weight rig protects the fish in case the line breaks during the fight, as the loss of the weight means avoiding the distress of the fish being forced to drag the weight continuously. The connectors for clips are complementary parts, specially designed to be used together with the clips, and sometimes with the anti-tangle tube, to form an assembly that reduces the risk of rig tangles and allows for the weight to be released.
Protective tubes and anti-tangle tubes in this category have a dual role. They are used to protect the line from the abrasion caused by the weight or lead, as well as to reduce the risk of tangling during casting or retrieval of the rig components. Similarly, the sleeves for rods help to enhance rigs, achieve better aerodynamics, and reduce the risk of rig tangles.
Protective sleeves are used in various situations, such as optimizing the transition from the weight to the leader, or to camouflage different elements of the rig, like loops, swivels, or metal loops.
