Finger Guards, Gloves

Finger guards and casting gloves are accessories designed to reduce the stress of repeated casting and protect fingers in situations where casting is performed using braided line, either as a leader or main line, as well as for situations involving powerful casts. They are made from flexible yet durable materials such as leather, neoprene, or other textiles.

Some finger guards can be used on either hand, making them suitable for both left-handed and right-handed casters, while others are specifically designed for the hand that releases the line during the cast and should be selected accordingly. There are various styles and sizes, with some covering only one finger, others featuring an elastic band that wraps around the wrist to prevent loss of the finger guard, and also available as casting gloves aimed not only at protecting the finger that releases the line but also providing an excellent grip for the caster.
