Jigs
Jigs are those weighted hooks, equipped with a loop, designed either for rigging various types of soft baits or for directly applying materials that give them volume and shape.
Jigs intended for use with soft baits can come in various forms depending on the shape of the weight: round jigs, aspirin jigs (the weight is flattened on the sides), football jigs - with anti-snag hooks, stand-up jigs or horseshoe jigs, and special jigs whose weight mimics the shape of a fish head, adding a touch of realism to a soft lure.
Skirted jigs, also known as Spider Jigs, feature a skirt made of elastic filaments that pulse during retrieval, creating an attractive effect. A variation of these are Hair jigs, which have skirts made of braided materials, hair, or synthetic filaments.
