The LS-8K is a reel with an integrated baitrunner system and a longcast aluminum spool, specially designed for carp fishing. It is equipped with 5 ball bearings (BB) and one roller bearing (RB), all made of stainless steel, allowing smooth and silent operation without interruptions, both when retrieving rigs and during the fight. The sealed body is made entirely of corrosion-resistant graphite, effectively protecting the mechanisms and internal parts against water and dirt intrusion.

It features an auto ON/OFF system for the free-spool (baitrunner) mechanism that allows anglers to disengage the spool, letting the hook bait run freely. The baitrunner is essentially a special brake located at the back of the reel body that allows the fish to take the line once hooked. The baitrunner has two controls: a lever that manually activates or deactivates this brake and a dial through which the angler adjusts the drag force, i.e., the resistance the fish encounters when taking line.

The 30mm stroke of the anodized aluminum longcast spool facilitates long-distance casts. The two round clips on the longcast spool are very useful when the baiting area needs to be reached with precision. The sealed multi-disc drag system (steel discs + felt discs) ensures perfect control during the fight, even with the most vigorous fish. The front drag "FPD" (Fast Progressive Drag) can be switched from tight to free-spool with a single full rotation of the star drag.

Even Flow Roller System is an oversized roller system (EFR II) that allows the line to run straighter and tighter, significantly reducing friction during casts. The RESII computer-balanced rotor system precisely balances and eliminates all spool vibrations for perfect alignment and smooth operation, complemented by the Quick-Set Anti-Reverse system (roller bearing that allows rotation in only one direction) which completes the reel’s technical features.

The reel benefits from a slow oscillation system designed to lay the line coils parallel, an important factor for longer and more accurate casts. The Cyclonic Flow Rotor design increases airflow through the rotor, minimizing water intrusion and thus corrosion of internal parts. The precision elliptical gearing creates less friction during casts, which translates into greater distance, accuracy, and long service life. The zinc handle is equipped with a single-piece finished wooden knob.
