Few Romanian anglers haven't heard of Zsolt Benzar, multiple national champion in still fishing, with an impressive record: gold medals and national individual champion titles in 2003 and 2005, bronze medal and vice national champion title in 2003, bronze medal in 1997, as well as gold medals and national team champion titles (Energofish) in 2005 and 2006, and a silver medal in 2004.

Zsolt also holds the national record for the quantity of fish caught in a 3-hour session, at the Profi-Mix Cup in 2003, with 31.6 kg of bream.

Since 2007, Zsolt decided to reveal some of his secrets, launching a complete range of groundbaits covering all species of coarse fish found in Romania.

Benzar Mix Groundbait is produced according to Zsolt's recipes and under his strict supervision. His over 20 years of competition experience, both nationally and internationally, laid the foundation for this series of 30 groundbaits. The most important aspect is that the entire range is specially designed for the waters (and fish, of course) in Romania. The bait already contains specific additives and attractants tailored to the fish species printed on the packaging.

Benzar Mix Groundbait - Honey Carp

If you haven't tried Benzar Honey groundbait yet, it's time to do it. Not just because of its name or enticing flavour, but because it represents a carefully selected and dosed blend, crafted by the great national still fishing champion, Zsolt Benzar.
The particularity of the honey flavour lies, paradoxically, in the large particles it contains. Also, the high sugar content satisfies a strong need for accumulating energy substances, making it ideal for colder waters. That said, the bait's effectiveness extends throughout the year.

A special groundbait for grass carp fishing, a carp species also known locally as amur. Grass carp fishing is one of the most exciting, as this species is known to fight fiercely, especially near the shore.
Not only the technique is unique, but also the bait used to lure this fish. Multiple still fishing champion Benzar Zsolt developed this bait after numerous tests across several lakes in our country. Based on extracts from reed buds and alfalfa seeds (the most well-known bait for grass carp), Benzar Mix Amur Carp is a groundbait that remains longer on the spot and has incredible attraction power.
Because grass carp predominantly feed in areas with dense vegetation, the bait doesn’t create a large cloud but is easy to detect by its scent.

Benzar Mix Groundbait - Fish Meal

An exceptional groundbait designed by an absolute champion.
Its high protein content makes this bait very nutritious. Fish meal is used in aquaculture, and this bait contains 20% fish meal.

Benzar Mix Groundbait - River

Whether you want to fish with a float or feeder basket for barbell, chub, barbel, or nase, this is the groundbait you need for fishing in flowing waters. Not only are the ingredients tailored for these fishing styles, but also the speed at which the bait lumps break down on the substrate.
When designing this bait, the multiple national champion added a higher amount of binder, allowing slower disintegration of the lumps so that the baited area can keep the fish on the groundbait bed regardless of the current's speed.

Benzar Mix Groundbait - Barbell

Regardless of the season, a well-balanced groundbait containing a significant amount of coriander and hemp seeds doesn’t go unnoticed by barbel shoals. Adding 200 grams of maggots per 1 kilogram of groundbait further increases its effectiveness.

We developed Carp Base groundbait in two flavors: half strawberry, half honey. The principle was based on the observation that fish respond mainly to these aromas in colder periods. But selecting out the small fish can only be done by using groundbait with a strong, sweet smell. Essentially, fish seek energy, just as we do when we reach for a chocolate bar, for example.

Carp-Strawberry groundbait has a large grain size and an intense red color. The delicate strawberry flavour is so strong that it attracts carp to the bait bed from considerable distances. It contains a significant amount of hemp and flax oilseeds, which stimulate appetite.
