The SR 10 reels are designed both for stationary catfish fishing and saltwater fishing, developed after approximately two years of intense testing across Europe as well as in sea and ocean conditions, undergoing the toughest challenges. This period was necessary to ensure that exceptional quality reels would be launched on the market, meeting the standards that the German manufacturer ZECK is already known for.

This series of reels was built to withstand various environmental conditions, including high salinity scenarios, and was equipped with the latest materials and technologies in a rigid body made entirely of aluminum, making the whole assembly extremely durable. These are the first classic-shaped reels offered by ZECK to enthusiasts of this fishing style. With the SR 10, you can easily cast at medium and long distances up to 300m; cases where anglers cast beyond 300m are rare. For such extreme distances, the HR20 model is recommended, as it can handle those casts. For everything else, the SR 10 is sufficient.

The reel is equipped with 7 sealed bearings that will successfully withstand saline environments, and the technology used in its production allows retrieving a larger amount of line per handle turn — specifically 113cm, with a gear ratio of 4.7:1. It ensures uniform line lay and smooth line deployment. The micrometric Multi-Disk carbon drag system is very precise and releases up to 14kg of pure drag force. This progressive drag system lets you customize the adjustment for specific conditions and target fish, or adjust the drag during a long fight. This strong resistance is housed under an anodized aluminum spool with a matte finish that can hold up to 280m of 0.50mm braided line. The manual pickup release function prevents accidental closure of the pickup during casting, and the oversized handle knob with EVA material coating is very comfortable, attached to a CNC-machined aluminum handle with a screw-in grip, making it very useful during extended fights.

During testing, the SR 10 proved itself not only in catfish fishing but also in saltwater and ocean fishing, handling numerous long battles over 100 meters with massive fish — an extremely powerful species.
