The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predatory fish anglers. It’s no surprise that this lure has set many personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lure marked a new superior quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique is effective, and the movement of the lure will mimic that of an injured baitfish. The colder the water, the longer each pause between movements should be (up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Usually, the Slider is fished with a series of regular sharp rod jerks, while the retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it’s advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action (to improve your lure handling technique). The Slider is effective for trolling, left behind the boat between 10m and 30m, jerking it as you would when casting every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating variants are highly recommended in warm seasons when vegetation is abundant and the available water column is very limited, while sinking models are suitable for areas with less vegetation or deeper water.
