The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago and has become legendary among predator anglers. It's no surprise that this lure has set many personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lures marked a new level of quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy, any retrieval technique being effective; the lure's movement resembles that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer the pauses between each movement should be (even up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Typically, the Slider is fished with a series of regular rod jerks (sharp and aggressive), while the retrieval speed should be fast. Before using this lure, it's advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its behavior (to improve your technique). The Slider is effective for trolling, left behind the boat between 10m and 30m, jerking it as you would when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: The floating versions are highly recommended in the warm season when vegetation is abundant and the available water column is limited, while the sinking models are best suited for areas with less vegetation or deep water.
