Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on some of the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof waders available at the time didn’t meet the demands of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer, regardless of the weather.

The Women Freestone Stockingfoot is a waterproof wader from Simms designed especially for women, the result of 16,000 hours of field testing. The wader is constructed with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabric. The boots are compression molded for enhanced comfort and a better fit. For waterproofing around the side zippers, the manufacturer chose water-resistant YKK zippers that are easy to use. There are three chest pockets: one central and two lateral, all lined with microfleece to keep hands warm. The wader features two adjustable shoulder straps and an elastic belt around the waist for secure fitting.
