Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world's most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof waders available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Freestone Z Stockingfoot is a waterproof wader from Simms, the result of 16,000 hours of field testing. The wader is built with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabric. The boots are compression-molded for enhanced comfort and improved fit. For waterproofing in the main zipper area, the manufacturer chose a YKK waterproof and easy-to-use zipper. There are 4 pockets on the chest area: one exterior and one interior, both with waterproof zippers, and 2 side pockets lined with microfleece for hand warming. The wader features two adjustable suspenders and an elastic belt around the waist for secure fitting.
