Description caret-down

Suzuki DF100CTL Outboard Motor, Long Shaft, 100HP

Suzuki is a boat engine manufacturer offering a wide range of options, technologies, and innovations. No other company has been able to match the engineering expertise of Suzuki specialists in designing boat engines. This experience is backed by a commitment to 4-stroke engine technology that has never failed. While other companies experimented with technologies that did not prove effective, Suzuki has remained focused on manufacturing 4-stroke engines, providing the best reliable and powerful engines suited for today’s boats.

The Suzuki DF100CTL is part of the modern series of 4-stroke engines, specially designed for medium-sized vessels that require a balance between power, fuel efficiency, and long-term reliability. With a generous displacement of over 2000 cc and advanced Lean Burn technology, the engine delivers solid acceleration, consistent torque, and optimized consumption even during extended cruising. Its robust design and carefully crafted construction make it suitable for both recreational use and light commercial or fishing applications.

A distinctive feature is the high reduction ratio (2.59:1), which allows the use of larger diameter propellers for efficient thrust and stability at high speeds or with heavy loads. The electronic fuel injection system ensures quick starts and smooth operation, while the chain-driven timing, housed in an oil bath and self-tensioning, eliminates the need for periodic maintenance. The 40A alternator guarantees sufficient power for onboard electronics, even at low rpm. Additionally, the power trim & tilt system provides precise control over the engine position, easily adapting it to different navigation conditions. The compact housing and anti-corrosion finishes contribute to the engine’s durability, while easy access to filters and essential components simplifies routine maintenance.

The engine is protected against corrosion with a special finish developed by Suzuki’s specialist team (Anti Corrosion System). Applied directly to the aluminum surface, it maximizes the bond between the coating and the surface, enhancing protection and durability of parts constantly exposed to water.

NOTE: Undersizing a boat engine is to be avoided, as the engine will run at higher revs, leading to premature wear of parts and increased fuel consumption. Oversizing a boat engine can cause handling difficulties, as well as significantly higher consumption and costs (consumables, parts, etc.).
