Weights for predator fishing
Fishing weights for predators are auxiliary pieces used together with lures in various types of rigs, such as offset hooks like Carolina, Texas, as well as Cheburashka rigs or Drop Shot rigs. Made primarily from tungsten and specific alloys, these weights have a high weight-to-size ratio, are often aerodynamic, allowing for precise casts at long distances and providing good control of lures during fishing.
For offset rigs, such as Carolina or Texas, the use of special weights is necessary, typically bullet-shaped, equipped internally with a plastic tube that serves to protect the line.
For Cheburashka rigs, special weights are used that feature two loops, one for attaching offset hooks and one for attaching the line. This design provides great freedom of movement for the lure and allows for the use of hooks embedded in its body, thus enabling fishing in areas with obstacles and vegetation without risking snagging or losing the lure.
Weights for Drop Shot: They typically come in either a round shape or a long cigarette-like shape. Round weights allow you to "feel" the lure better. Elongated weights are generally used where there is a risk of getting snagged on structures on the bottom, as they can be released more easily.
