The Zeck Vertical Jig is a lure designed for active vertical fishing from a boat. The lure is retrieved with a rod jerk and then cast again in a controlled manner. During retrieval, the lower part creates a high-frequency vibration that can be felt throughout the rod. As soon as it is cast, the Vertical Jig descends in a seductive way and, together with the vibration produced, will attract catfish in the area. Its special feature that sets it apart from other similar lures on the market is the high-frequency vibration, making it an irresistible prey for catfish. Often, catfish are attracted from great distances and provoked to strike.

Thanks to the two hooks and the relatively small size of the lure, missed attacks are very rare. A hard powder coating reliably protects the metal and ensures the bait does not raise suspicion. As the subject of color contrasts in catfish fishing becomes increasingly important, Zeck has decided to bring to market the most common lures but in different sizes. Beyond the standard green color, which has been tested and delivered very good results, discreet new colors such as black and high-contrast white have recently been added to this range.

Catfish do not distinguish color but can perceive the lure’s contrast to some extent. Many experts use this knowledge and, when selecting their artificial lure, pay attention to the contrast created by dark or light colors under the respective underwater conditions. Complementing this, 6XH split rings and Zeck Lure Striker double hooks provide increased security and robustness to this lure, while high-quality materials and durable paint give it greater resistance to repeated attacks from targeted fish.
