The Hardy Ultralite LL Fly Rod is a fly fishing rod specifically designed for anglers using light lines and river-specific techniques. This rod was developed and tested by experts in modern light line fishing methods, offering refined actions suitable for demanding fishing styles.

Built with Sintrix NSX technology and a higher percentage of high and intermediate modulus carbon fibers, the rod features a lightweight design that maximizes line feel and sensitivity. Titanium-framed guides lined with ceramic and a custom ultralight reel seat enhance balance and durability. The rod comes in a Hardy aluminum tube, ideal for technical fishing situations.

The latest iteration of Hardy’s Sintrix blank technology is NSX. NSX combines Sintrix with a classified secondary additive, allowing Hardy to produce rods with lighter prepreg weights. This lighter material enables Hardy to modify the blank’s design without compromising strength. The end result? Lighter, more responsive blanks that provide the angler with greater feedback, feel, and faster recovery times.

REC Recoil guides are extremely lightweight and highly practical. If struck or bent, recoil guides return to their original shape without deforming. Additionally, titanium increases durability, and the ceramic lining reduces line friction through the guides. Similarly, Black Pearl Recoil guides spring back to their original shape when bent or crushed. These guides reduce the rod’s overall weight for lightweight performance and durability.

The rod features a custom ultralight reel seat. As the name suggests, the Ultralite LL reel seat is designed to keep the rod light. A carbon fiber insert is cut out and replaced with lighter carbon, leaving the blank exposed to reduce weight. The reel seat is stylish and highly unique.

The Ultralite LL is delivered in a braided rod sock and the classic Hardy aluminum tube for maximum transport protection. These tubes are extremely durable and very stylish, offering both functionality and purpose.
