This model features high-quality mechanisms that provide performance and reliability. The MT 14000 Plus has 8+1 bearings and a DDBG system, characterized by an additional bearing on the small pinion of the new model, allowing the gear to run on both shafts with two bearings each.

This latest bearing fixed externally in the housing significantly improves the gear, as the small pinion shaft used to run directly on the plastic housing and reel shaft under the pressure of the large pinion. Over time, plastic wear caused the angle between the pinions to change, which was the source of reel noise. Also, the small pinion no longer presses directly on the reel shaft, resulting in a much smoother rotation and reduced wear caused by shaft movement.

NOTE: The reel comes equipped with a shallower 14000 spool. It is possible to purchase the deeper 10000 spool separately.
