The Exist LT 2022 model is equipped with the latest Japanese technology developed by Daiwa engineers. The Exist LT 2022 series includes the new LT (Light & Tough) concept and offers all the technical features that distinguish Daiwa’s reel quality. The cold-forged Tough Digigear Drive gear has been completely redesigned and guarantees smooth operation and maximum durability even under extreme loads, thanks to the new tooth profile. Additionally, the gear noise is remarkably reduced.

The one-piece Air Metal Monocoque body is extremely rigid and provides a perfect housing for a solid gear system. This – combined with the large pinion (up to 85% of the body surface) – significantly contributes to smooth operation. Thanks to the oversized gearing, high power transmission is guaranteed – perfect for jigging with soft lures targeting pike, perch, and zander.

The combination of the LT concept with Air Metal Magnesium for the body and the Zaion Air Rotor results in an extremely lightweight reel (Exist LT 2500 2022: 175g), which is also highly durable for the most demanding efforts. The MagSealed construction prevents water and dirt from entering the spool housing, near the main and side shafts, thereby extending the reel’s lifespan and ensuring reliable performance. Compared to the 2018 Exist model, the new Airdrive Bail weighs 33% less.

The lever structure of the anti-reverse system has been redesigned and now provides the best water protection. The new line clip allows the use of both thin braided lines and thick mono leaders, securing them easily without risk of damage. The extremely sensitive ATD drag system offers the necessary security to hook and safely land fish, especially in extreme situations. Moreover, the ATD drag system doesn’t have the initial resistance common to all reels, maintaining consistent drag power – ideal for use with both mono and braided lines.

Monocoque® Body - the reel body acts as a rigid and distortion-resistant frame that is both reliable and compact. This means there's no need to fasten the body cap with a screw, and the freed space can be used for a larger drive gear. This design allows the reel body to accommodate a drive gear diameter of about 85% of the body size. In short: this design allows the use of larger and stronger gears in the same case size.

Zaion® - a special material created by Daiwa engineers, characterized by low weight and increased strength. It is a solid "High Density" carbon material designed for high performance and maximum impact resistance (used both in bodies and rotors). Zaion allows building a lightweight reel body that withstands gear forces. Zaion's strength matches magnesium and is 20% stronger than the nylon/ABS material used by most manufacturers for reel bodies. Zaion is 50% lighter than aluminum.

MagSealed® - a technology that prevents water, dust particles, or salt crystals from entering between the rotor and the reel body. The seal based on magnetic oil cannot be penetrated by small dirt particles or water.

ATD® (Automatic Drag System) - the drag system excels with a much smoother transition of drag intervals, making it perfectly suited for braided lines. With ATD, drag starts immediately from the beginning, and the shift to the preset drag force happens in a fraction of a second, eliminating line breakage from shock.

Cross Wrap® - a special technology for crisscross line lay on the spool. This technology significantly reduces tangling around the shaft. Additionally, the unique spool winding means more coils fit on the spool, resulting in extreme casting distances.

Tough DigiGear® - a digitally developed gearing system designed to handle high traction forces. The pinion housed inside the spool casing transfers the handle’s power directly to the rotor, smoothly and very efficiently. Gear size, strength, angle, and tooth shape and surface allow building gearboxes with exceptional smoothness, minimal resistance during use, and extremely long service life.

AirBail® - the reel’s pick-up arm is hollow and therefore strong, lightweight, and durable. The special design prevents line twist around the pick-up wire.

Twist Buster® II - a sophisticated system that reduces line twist to a minimum. The latest Twist Buster II system significantly reduces friction between the line and roller, preventing line breakage.

Infinite Anti-Reverse® - a roller bearing that allows rotation of the rotor in only one direction. Only the highest quality steel parts with the narrowest tolerances are used.
