The Emblem Spod 35 SCW QD is a reel specially designed for baiting with heavy spombs at considerable distances. The new Emblem Spod 35 SCW QD model has been updated with advanced technologies, now featuring the Slow Cross Wrap™ line lay system which allows even distribution of the coils and significantly reduces friction with the long cast spool lip during casts. The two round HIP clips protect the line and are extremely useful when you need to accurately reach the baiting area.

The 90 mm aluminum handle optimizes power transmission during retrieval and provides huge power reserves to quickly and easily control heavy spombs from long distances. The pick-up arm is hand-released to prevent unintended activation during casting. The "QD" Quick Drag front drag with carbon drag washers can be switched from tight to fully free with a single full rotation of the knob.

The aluminum main shaft and Digigear II gearing provide optimal power transmission and massive strength, very useful when rigs need to be frequently retrieved and during fights with large fish. The sturdy pick-up wire, Twist Buster® II line roller that prevents accidental line breakage, Infinite Anti-Reverse® system, and CNC-machined aluminum handle complete the reel’s features. The soft touch knob fits perfectly in the angler's palm.

Silent Oscillation® System - thanks to the special mounting and guiding of the shaft lifting gears, Daiwa engineers achieved a significant smoothing of power transmission compared to conventional systems with similar designs. Silent shaft lift - less noise, precise operation, and extreme durability.

Air Rotor® - the curved rotor (15% lighter than the vast majority of standard models) offers perfect line lay on the spool and eliminates vibrations due to the lowered center of gravity.

Slow Cross Wrap® - a special cross-pattern line lay technology on the spool. This technology significantly reduces tangles around the axle. Moreover, the unique wrap means more coils are taken up on the spool, resulting in extreme casting distances.

Tough DigiGear® - a digitally-designed gear system built to withstand high pulling forces. The pinion integrated in the spool housing transfers handle power directly to the rotor, smoothly and very efficiently. The size of the drive gear, strength and angle of the gears, shape and surface of the gear teeth allow for smooth gearboxes with minimal resistance during use and an extremely long service life.

Twist Buster® II - a sophisticated system (patent no. EP0876760B1) that minimizes line twist. The latest Twist Buster II system significantly reduces friction between the line and the roller, preventing line breakage.

Infinite Anti-Reverse® - a roller bearing that allows rotor rotation in only one direction. Only the highest quality steel parts with the tightest tolerances are used here.
