The Airity 23 features all Airdrive design elements, offering the highest sensitivity and smooth operation. The CNC-machined pinion coated with a special technology ensures even smoother performance. The Airdrive shaft creates a low-contact structure on the pinion, reducing friction and resulting in completely silent, smooth operation. The Monocoque magnesium body design allows for an oversized gear with improved power transmission and increased durability under heavy stress.

The new Airdrive rotor helps reduce weight on the front side of the reel and improves balance with the rod, resulting in enhanced casting performance and optimized lure control with incredible sensitivity. By reducing the rotor's weight, it operates with less starting resistance, allowing even quicker reaction times.

The Airdrive pick-up arm is a step forward in its design evolution. Lighter than recent Daiwa models yet still durable. The wall thickness of the Airdrive spool has been further reduced to eliminate unnecessary extra weight, also contributing to reducing front-side weight on the reel.

The Twistbuster III roller design is perfect for use with braided lines—they don’t compress during retrieval, reducing line twist. Especially when fishing in saltwater, the Magsealed design on the shaft and roller helps reduce corrosion problems and dirt particles.
