Slingshots, catapults, bait cups

If you want an easy, quick, and efficient way to introduce a large quantity of bait or lures to a fishing spot, one of the most practical solutions is represented by bait slingshots, catapults, or bait cups. These allow for the distribution of lumps of groundbait, pellets, seeds, or individual lures in a specific area, thereby quickly creating a potential attraction and feeding spot for fish.

Bait slingshots typically have three main components: the handle and the arms of the slingshot, made from durable and lightweight materials like plastic or metal; the elastic cords, most often made from latex; and the cup of the slingshot in which the lumps or lures are placed for launching into the water. Depending on the thickness and strength of the latex, the shape and size of the cup, the slingshots are designed for specific distances as well as certain types of projectiles (cups for lumps of groundbait or cups for pellets and even cups for individual lures like boilies).

Depending on the distances for which they are designed, bait cups can have a short handle for baiting from a boat, or they can be equipped with a universal thread that allows for the attachment of longer handles or even landing net poles, for medium-distance baiting.

This category also includes spare parts or replacement elements such as elastics or slingshot cups, to repair or replace worn components.

A decent slingshot or catapult can truly make the difference between a successful day on the water and a disappointing one, thus representing a very important piece of equipment in an angler's toolkit.
