After a ground-up design process that took 5 years, the Trakker DB7-R bite alarms arrive on the market in the carp bite indication systems segment. The model incorporates state-of-the-art technologies and innovative systems.

For the first time in the history of bite alarms the PPS (Prevention of Accidental Power-On) system stands out. This technology prevents accidental switch-ons, preserving battery life.

The mechanical side of the alarms is built around magnetic rollers. The mainline sits under the pressure of 8 magnets which, at the slightest movement, trigger the alarm’s sound system. The same magnets feed information to what Trakker call ISM (Intelli‑Sense Module). This technology adds an electronic module capable of distinguishing line movements caused by wind or water currents from an actual take. It activates on vibrations in the line and not on tension, so the alarms can be used confidently in extreme conditions such as waves or even boat fishing. The frame sits on an ABS platform, a lightweight material resistant to mechanical shocks and outdoor environments. The housing, battery compartment and electronic components are waterproof. Water will not affect the alarm’s functionality in any way.

The SRT (Sync‑Connect Receiver) technology was developed for long-distance communication, eliminating interruptions caused by obstacles. The operating frequency is dedicated so it does not interfere with posts, trees or changes in elevation (sloping bank). The acoustic part (audio speaker) of the alarm is conical to deliver a clear, high-intensity sound. The conical walls allow the sound waves to amplify, resulting in a strong, unmistakable indication. Depending on the type of presentation (run or drop), the alarm will deliver distinct and clear tones. The sound experience stands out and confirms that the Trakker DB7-R is aimed at superior quality in this segment.

The visual indication component uses LED technology. A dual module (two LEDs) was chosen for very high intensity, with the ability to alternate between 6 different colours: red, green, blue, yellow, purple or white. The mounting area of the visual module on the front of the alarm has been carefully positioned to allow the angler to spot a take even from the side of the swim. The adjustment and customization options are generous. There is a night mode (standby light), a constant light for runs and a flashing light for drops.

Volume, tone and sensitivity are adjustable across 8 steps using the onboard potentiometers. The alarm is equipped with a 2.5mm jack socket, offering a wide range of choices for hangers or swingers. For greater electronic stability and optimized power consumption, the Trakker DB7-R uses a 9V battery. This ensures a significantly longer service life in use compared with conventional batteries and, last but not least, a stronger signal in operation.
