The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Superlight Zip-Off Pant is part of Simms' product line. Made from nylon, these lightweight, packable, and breathable pants offer rain protection with added stretch for enhanced comfort. The elastic waistband, zipper, and belt loops serve as the pant’s securing elements. Simms designed these pants with four pockets: two side pockets and two back pockets, one of which has a zipper. Unlike a conventional pair of pants, Simms designed this item to handle any situation successfully; thanks to the zippers above the knees, you can easily convert the long pants into shorts. The Superlight Pant comes in three versions: long pants, shorts, and zip-off.
