The Shimano Vanquish FA Competition Edition reel is part of the Magnumlite series and is developed for anglers who practice finesse spinning at a competitive level, where low weight, sensitivity and precise control are essential. Made in Japan, this reel integrates Shimano's most advanced technologies for using light lures and thin lines, offering an instant response to every movement and extremely smooth operation.

The magnesium body and Ci4+ rotor significantly reduce overall mass and rotational inertia, allowing very precise lure control and high sensitivity. The INFINITYLOOP system ensures very slow spool oscillation, resulting in even line lay, reduced friction and longer, more accurate casts. The gearing benefits from INFINITYXROSS technology to increase durability and optimize power transfer, while the INFINITYDRIVE system maintains smooth rotation even when the reel is strained during a fight.

The Competition Edition model is optimized for using thin braided lines, available with a reduced-capacity spool dedicated to PE 0.6-1.0 lines. High sensitivity allows detection of the finest bites, and the excellent balance makes the reel suited for fishing for perch, trout, zander and other species targeted with finesse techniques.

For protection of the internal mechanism, Shimano uses the X-Protect system, which prevents water and contaminants from entering without affecting smooth operation. At the same time, ANTI-TWIST FIN technology contributes to optimal control of braided line, reducing loop formation and improving line management during retrieves.
