The use of CI4+ material makes the new Ultegra model very lightweight yet compact, making it the ideal reel for long-distance casting when we need to impart greater speed to the entire setup. To further enhance casting performance, the Shimano Ultegra features new 5-speed oscillation technology, an AR-C spool, and the well-known Aero Wrap II system.

The cold-forged aluminum handle and the 5 stainless steel A-RB bearings, plus the quick "Hi Speed Drag" brake that allows fast adjustment with just a half turn of the front lever, perfectly complement the new Ultegra CI4+ reel. The reel includes Shimano's latest innovations: the X-Protect system guarantees protection of the internal parts against water and dirt ingress, plus the G Free Body combined with Parallel Body helps anglers achieve precise, long-distance casts with less effort.

The new Ultegra CI4+ model has a compact design, contributing to a strong and lightweight feel typical of a big pit reel. The package includes 3 pairs of spool adapters: two sets for size 3500, two sets for size 6000, and two sets for size 10000.
