The use of CI4+ material has made the new Ultegra model very lightweight yet compact, making it the ideal reel for long-distance casting when we need to impart a higher speed to the entire setup. To further enhance casting performance, the Shimano Ultegra employs the new 5-speed oscillation technology, the AR-C spool, and the well-known Aero Wrap II system. The fast "Hi Speed Drag" brake allows quick adjustments with just a half-turn of the front lever, perfectly complementing the new Ultegra CI4+ model assembly.

The patented internal "Hagane" components (cold-forged steel) and the "X-Ship" system deliver high transmission performance. The 5 stainless steel A-RB bearings and Shimano roller bearings ensure smooth and consistent reel operation. The reel has been awarded Shimano’s latest innovation, the "X-PROTECT" system, which guarantees protection of internal components against water and dirt ingress. The new Ultegra CI4+ model features a compact design that contributes to a strong yet light "feeling" typical of a big pit reel. The package includes 3 spool reducers.
