The reputation for reliability and versatility is dominant in the new Shimano Stradic FM reel, the latest addition to Shimano's CoreSolid spinning reel range.

Featuring technologies carried down from Shimano's top ranges, the redesigned Stradic FM adds InfinityXross technology for unparalleled gear durability and synergy by extending the gear tooth horizontally to help distribute loads more evenly. This uses Shimano's Hagane cold-forged gear technology for added strength combined with MicroModule II refinement for a supreme winding experience.

The addition of InfinityDrive provides smooth rotation and increased starting power under load, while the new Duracross Drag system delivers smooth performance from the drag's felt discs with up to 10 times the durability. Shimano's water-repellent X-Protect coating and a specially designed labyrinth water drainage construction ensure long life and high performance by preventing water ingress in key areas without adding noticeable rotational resistance. The new Anti-Twist Fin - an elastic polymer on the underside of the spool - improves line handling for anglers using monofilament or fluorocarbon.
