The Parallel Body concept in the reel’s construction aligns the axle and spool parallel to the rod blank, reducing line friction against the blank. By reducing friction, casting distance is maximized. Like the top models in the range, the Speedmaster features a Hagane body made from cold-forged components with no need for additional machining. The RigidCast technology integrated by Nippon in the reel’s design improves balance between rigidity and light weight, making casts precise over long distances.
