Shimano Socorro SW Spinning Reel

Shimano Socorro SW Reel

The Shimano Socorro SW is a heavy-duty saltwater reel and the entry-level model in the manufacturer’s saltwater range. Designed for inshore fishing and light to medium offshore techniques, the Socorro SW combines versatile performance with high durability. The HAGANE Gear mechanism and cold-forged aluminium spool deliver strength and durability, while the Cross Carbon Drag system provides consistent pressure and control during the fight.

The Socorro SW features powerful gearing for smooth retrieves and high torque. Its robust construction makes it suitable for challenging conditions, including deep-water fishing and areas with strong currents. Its modern design is complemented by a cold-forged aluminium spool, HAGANE Gear + X-SHIP for stability under load, and a waterproof Cross Carbon Drag system capable of delivering over 10kg of consistent drag pressure. The AR-C spool optimises line release for long casting distances, making this reel suitable for fishing from the shore or a boat.
