The Sedona model is one of the most affordable spinning reels in Shimano's portfolio. It features Hagane components that guarantee durability under extreme conditions. Hagane is both a patented Shimano technology and a material designed to reduce the overall weight of the reel and ensure it runs smoothly for long periods.

The "G Free Body" balancing system has the major advantage of allowing the use of different rod lengths with a single reel, as bringing the center of gravity closer to the blank prevents the angler's hand from tiring during a full day of fishing. The long cast AR-C aluminum spool, Varispeed II system (perfectly aligns coils during retrieval), solid handle, and soft-touch knob complete the reel’s features.
