The Surf 8K is the latest reel in the Okuma range, specially designed for carp fishing. The 8K reel features the "Slow Oscillation System" which makes the line straighter and tighter, significantly reducing friction during casts. It also includes the Hydro Block system that prevents dirt and water from entering the reel body.

The reel has a corrosion-resistant graphite body, 6 stainless steel bearings (5BB+1RB), a fast progressive drag (FPD) system, Worm Shaft line lay system, Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR), rotor with brush guard (prevents line twist), long-cast aluminum spool, two spool clips, and an aluminum handle with an ergonomic TPE knob.
