Okuma Flite Surf Reel

The Okuma Flite Surf is a premium reel with a long cast spool, designed for extreme distance casting in carp fishing or surf fishing from the beach. The reel features a body and rotor made from a rigid, lightweight composite material called C-40X. Thanks to this material, the reel’s weight is exceptionally low, ranging from 467g to 525g depending on the spool used. The reel is delivered with three long cast spools of different line capacities, each spool having a different weight. Maintaining a low weight is an advantage both for casting performance and angler comfort.

The reel lays the line straight, without taper, using factory settings and a slow oscillation system. The drag is fast and precise, with carbon drag washers that work reliably. The gear includes ten anti-corrosion bearings (9+1) and uses a stabilization and friction reduction mechanism. To protect fishing lines, the reel is equipped with a monoblock pick-up and a diamond-like carbon-coated (DLC) roller, which has a low friction coefficient, increased hardness, and corrosion resistance. The reel’s features and specifications provide a high level of quality. The Okuma Flite Surf is suitable for all carp fishing applications, from extreme distance casting to ledger fishing.
