It features eight bearings at key points of the gearing, including one on the roller. All available sizes have the same gear ratio of 5.4:1, with the main difference being the line capacity. The spool is made of aluminum, allowing the use of braided lines if needed. The baitrunner drag system is adjusted via the knob on the rear of the reel, and the activation flip allows free line release after the fish takes off. Engaging the drag is done by turning the handle.
