The Zeck Rattle Teaser is probably one of the most innovative rigs for vertical catfish fishing. The name clonk comes from the fact that we attract the catfish's attention with the clonk to signal that a potentially tasty bait is approaching. Basically, the clonk's strike will awaken the fish's interest in the bait we have in the water. Whether fishing on a lake or on running water, this predator's senses are extremely sharp, able to detect the vibrations of this bait even from great depths. What's spectacular is that you can watch on the sonar screen when the fish approaches and even when it attacks.

The teaser concept is built on the simple bundle-of-worms principle. With gentle vertical movements, you can see how it produces a jellyfish-like action, extremely enticing for the biggest predator in our waters. But Zeck went further and built a pivot-type head with a ball bearing (for increased attraction ), to which they attached silicone rubber skirts, fitted at the ends with small beads that inevitably collide with each other during vertical movement. In practice, you get a double effect: visual and auditory. Whether you're in a current or on a lake, a slight animation of the teaser is therefore important. Some anglers animate the rig simply by tapping the rod.

If the wind is blowing, the waves can perform this action. The treble hooks used by Zeck are super sharp and can be used with confidence, especially as they are very well calibrated to the size of the rig. Many anglers choose to boost the rig's attractiveness (scent) by loading the treble hooks with worms or pieces of liver.
