The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It’s no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lures marked a new superior quality in the world of artificial lures. Retrieving this lure is very easy, and any retrieval technique is effective; the lure’s movement will mimic that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer each movement pause should be (even up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Typically, the Slider is worked with a regular series of rod jerks (sharp and aggressive), while retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it’s advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action and improve your technique for using the lure. The Slider is effective for trolling, kept behind the boat between 10m and 30m, with jerks made just as when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended in warm seasons when vegetation is abundant and the available water column is very shallow, while sinking models are recommended in areas with less vegetation or in deep water zones.
