The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predatory fish anglers. It’s no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitive fishers). The launch of the Slider lures marked a new level of quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique is effective, and the lure's movement will resemble that of an injured baitfish. The colder the water, the longer each pause should be (up to 3 seconds).

It’s recommended for fishing pike, zander, perch, and catfish. Typically, the Slider is fished with a regular series of jerks of the rod (sharp and aggressive), while the retrieval speed should be fast. Before using this lure, it is advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action (to improve your lure handling technique). The Slider is effective for trolling, kept behind the boat at distances between 10m and 30m and jerked as you would when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended during the warm season when vegetation is abundant and the water column available is very shallow, while sinking models are suggested for areas with less vegetation or deep water.
