Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It is no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records of fishermen (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lures represented a new superior quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique is effective, the lure’s movement mimicking that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer each movement should be followed by a pause (up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for fishing pike, zander, perch, and catfish. Typically, the Slider is fished with a series of regular rod jerks (sudden and aggressive), while the retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it is advised to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action (to improve your lure handling technique). The Slider is effective for trolling, left behind the boat between 10m and 30m, jerking it as you would when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended in warm seasons when vegetation is abundant and the water column available is very shallow, while sinking models are advised for areas with less vegetation or deeper waters.
