The lure should be moved by lifting and lowering the rod tip with short and energetic jerks, just like a twitching motion. It should have an up & down movement in the water column, then be allowed to sink towards the bottom. Also, this lure is suitable for classic fishing in open water, emitting strong vibrations even during a slow retrieve.

To achieve high efficiency and precise control of the lure, it is very important to fish with a highly sensitive rod and the thinnest possible line. It is recommended to try the lure in shallow, clear water to find the optimal "activation" speed. The Chubby should vibrate strongly both when lifting and lowering.
