Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on some of the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof waders available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Freestone Z Stockingfoot is a waterproof wader from Simms, created after 16,000 hours of field testing. The wader is built with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabrics. The boots are compression-molded for enhanced comfort and improved fit. For waterproofing around the main zipper, the manufacturer chose a water-resistant, easy-to-use YKK zipper. The chest area features 4 pockets: one exterior and one interior with waterproof zippers, and 2 side pockets lined with microfleece to keep your hands warm. For adjustment, the wader has two adjustable straps and an elastic belt around the waist.
