The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waders available at the time fell short of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create gear worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Freestone Stockingfoot is a pair of waterproof waders from Simms, the result of 16,000 hours of field testing. The waders are constructed with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabric. The boots are compression-molded for enhanced comfort and a better fit. Unlike the Freestone Z Stockingfoot model, these do not feature a center zipper. The chest area includes 3 pockets: one central and two side pockets lined inside with microfleece to warm your hands. The waders feature two adjustable suspenders and an elastic waist belt for secure fit.
