The Zeck Cat Pointer is a two-piece rattling lure with slow sinking action at depths of up to one meter.

The Cat Pointer is the first model on the market truly developed specifically for catfish fishing. While it features exceptional stability and an ideal weight, Zeck paid special attention to the interior design. The placement of a tungsten weight in the first section allowed for larger resonance chambers inside to produce rattling sounds. Before perfecting this model, there were only manually crafted wooden versions that were relatively unstable and exhibited similar behavior during retrieval but did not deliver spectacular results. With improvements to the first version, the lure was put to the test on rivers such as the Po (Italy) and the Seine (France), exceeding the expectations of field testers from the very first days. It quickly became a bait anglers can fully trust. Its unusually subtle action that still produces powerful frequencies through the water mass was key to its success—a genuine “tip” for catfish anglers from the manufacturer, if we may call it that.

The primary use is Stop & Go in shelters such as bushes, reed beds, rock shadows, and floating debris. Of course, you can also use it in normal conditions or shallower water zones, where you can take advantage of its optimal sinking rate. You can let the lure sink just in front of the shoreline vegetation so it stays within the catfish’s strike zone, at which point the fish in the area will focus their attention on the lure.

It’s built from premium materials that give the body exceptional durability against damage caused by catfish or even pike teeth. The components are thoughtfully selected, with sturdy split rings resistant to corrosion and the immense pressures exerted during the fight, while the extremely sharp hooks are made from Japanese steel.
