Van Staal VR Silver Spinning Reel

The Van Staal VR Spinning reels have been taken to the next level through several key upgrades with the launch of Generation 2, maintaining and strengthening the legendary Van Staal tradition of durable and lightweight reels. Continuing the original line, the VR Gen 2 series retains its fully sealed and submersible feature, making it the perfect choice for anglers pursuing true trophies.

These reels are made from 6061-T6 aluminum, forged and machined with skeleton cutouts throughout the reel’s structure, including the body and rotor, helping to reduce weight. The MicroClick drag adjustment knob allows for smooth and easy fine-tuning, giving the angler greater control over the gear and the resistance applied during the fight with the fish.

All reels in the VR125-VR200 range have received minor adjustments to improve quality and durability, while a thicker stainless steel main shaft was added to reduce reel flex under the pressure of a large fish.

Improvements to sealing were also implemented, reinforcing Van Staal’s status in adverse conditions. These reels perform excellently in saltwater fishing, from boat or pier, adapting successfully to almost any saltwater environment where fishing is practiced. They are also suitable for fishing in the Danube area for walleye, catfish, or asp.
