Tica Giant Reel

New for 2022, the Giant reel is produced by the renowned Taiwanese company Tica and features numerous technical specifications essential for sport carp fishing. Its finish gives the reel an elegant and modern look, while the composite carbon body material provides increased corrosion resistance. The reel comes standard with 5+1 sealed bearings ensuring smooth operation, as well as the "Worm Shaft Oscillation" retrieval system, which allows for excellent line lay on the spool, reducing friction during long-distance casts.

The computer-balanced rotor is equipped with a locking system, preventing any inconvenience caused by the pickup snapping back into place during casting. The fast drag system adjusts very precisely, featuring carbon drag discs (interleaved with steel discs) for smooth and effective action over time, able to withstand extreme stress during a battle with a strong fish. The spool unlocks from fully tightened to free by turning the handle "quarter turn" (essentially a 90° rotation) on the butterfly knob.

Recommendation: The Giant reel sizes 2000 and 3000 are ideally suited for still fishing as well as feeder fishing and can be balanced with rods of 3.90m or 4.20m in Heavy and Extra Heavy power classes. 

NOTE: The size 14000 reel comes with a spool reduction (size 5000) and an identical spare spool. Other sizes in the series are not sold with a spare spool. The outer diameter of the spools for sizes 5000 and 14000 is 78mm; the only difference is the line storage capacity (size 14000 holds much more line than size 5000). It's also worth noting that both the 5000 and 14000 reels share the same weight (and thus the same body dimensions) at 482g. The spare spool (as well as the main spool) for size 14000 weighs 173g, while the main spool for size 5000 weighs 177g.
